Speaker 0 00:00:01 I haven't read a Prisma in the name of the Plaza, my son and the Holy spirit. Amen. During the season of advent, the church puts before our eyes, the coming of our Lord, both in mercy as a little baby course in the manger on Christmas and also in the clouds of judgment at the end of the world, that reminds us of both those things at the same time. So it is a season to prepare for the coming of the Lord. And it's the beginning of the liturgical year, because it's the beginning of liturgical year. We really should examine ourselves and see, where am I with God? You know, the secular people do it on new year's day, but liturgically, it's very significant. If you think about that, because new year's day is after our Lord has come on the loop on liturgic calendar, he's come on Christmas accord. Speaker 0 00:00:58 And there's something significant about that. Cause it's symbolic of how many people don't really think about the lore. They're going to meet him without, before they've prepared themselves, they'll end up dying. And then they'll think about why didn't I prepare myself instead of living so that we're ready to meet the Lord at any time they keep putting it off and putting it off. It's a symbolic sort of a thing, but we should think like that, look at our society today. You would think that with the world events, the churches will be packed and the confession lines it'd be mile long, run the brink of nuclear war. Like we never have been maybe since the Cuban missile crisis and people were all busy worrying about the fact that they find out people are immoral and Hollywood was this news who is moral in Hollywood. I mean, it's just mental. And here we have all this crazy stuff, threatened threat of absolutely very serious war. Nobody seems to care. You go into a church, I go to visit churches, people in it. You have to go up to them, say, you know, will you be quiet? That's the Lord. They're there in the church. You'd think they might know, but no, this last week I had get on somebody's case. Cause they answer the phone and they're talking in the church and the senior home and church. Yeah, you are. Speaker 0 00:02:22 This is where we're at in the presence of our Lord. They're not going to be ready to meet him. They're not ready to meet him in the most pleasant stacking. They alter what do their particular judge, but let's not pick on them. Let's think about ourselves. Where are we with the Lord? Are we preparing to meet the Lord? Because each one of us is going to, and we're going to have to make an account of our lives to him. Get yourself ready now before it's too late.
