R. From a sudden and unprovided death deliver us, O Lord.

Speaker 0 00:00:01 I'm Maria. Chrisman the name of the father and the son and Holy spirit. Amen. It's a face of Saint Andrew. Avellino uh, that's his religious name? You born glanced lot in, uh, in the region of Naples, uh, in the late 16th century and, uh, very pies from his youth. He became a Canon lawyer appreciating the Canon lawyer. And, uh, so here you have an example of a lawyer being safe. And at time when he was arguing in a court case that in the, we asked to the court and he told a small lie and later on it, he entered into himself and realized, what have I just done? And I did this in court. So he could put me renounce that whole line of work and went completely into the pastoral ministry. The Bishop had him, there was a, this is, you know, in the Connor reformation, everything's chaos and ginormous mess. Speaker 0 00:01:00 And so there was a convent there where the nuns will run it more like a sporting hall. And so the Bishop wanted him to clean that mess up. Well, they, you know, he, he, uh, did everything you could, and this made some of the guys quite mad. In fact, he got a stab half to death by one of the, I don't know if he'd come customers, one of the visitors to the condom and, uh, see, ends up being taken in by the via T's, by the way that content was suppressed. Some something just can't be reformed and that's as it is right now in the church. There's things that can't be reformed. Unfortunately, none of them are being it's suppressed, but back to this. So he gets a he's laying there in the thing to theater teens. We're a congregation started like state catch tan, and it's a reform congregation. Speaker 0 00:01:49 And so they were, they were religious, but would live, uh, exemplary precis life cause example the other priests in time when they really needed that. So these guys are parents from his he's healing. You said, you know, I'm an Andrew this, and because he loved the cross so much, that's why he got the religious name and for his love of the cross. But he took two remarkable balls. One was to never do his will in anything, you know, and think about that. You taken a bus, it's a pain it's sin. If you break it. So you better be serious about obedience and following your rule and all that. And the other vowel, which is actually mentioned in the call act today, was to grow virtue daily, that every day, wow. That he'd grown virtue every day. You better be serious about that too, because it'd be a cynic. Speaker 0 00:02:33 They did you see what kind of remarkable man he was and influenced the leather crazy. Veronica Dom, skip Pauley, whose book? Um, let me think of the name of it right here. The spiritual combat, his book is still in publication. St. Andrew Avalina was his inspiration. That's that was actually his mentoring. So he's writing those things. And, and so you still have a book that's influencing people, the spiritual combat at this time from Saint Avalene at any rate, uh, he's a patron of strokes. He prayed him for strokes because that's how he died. He was going up to mass. We sit in Troy at all, probably a day, and then he said it again. He said it in, it fell over and he ended up dying and <inaudible> was laying there. And all the people are visiting him. It's at least the cutting in half the park, try to get relics he's bleeding. So he bled for like two or three days, which they thought he was alive at first, when he started bleeding. But it was just as core. So the collected a lot of his blood at that time too. Anyway, that's just a little bit unsafe, Andrew Avalina Speaker 1 00:03:33 <inaudible>.
