We deserve so beautiful prayer, uh, just remarks on the gospel. I'm always kind of astounded when I read this gospel and I think of the whole price and principle of solely fetus of faith alone. When you see, so we're saved by faith alone, but I guess we're down by not doing works. I mean that what's this whole gospel about it's about our judgment it's judgment day. Let's take it from the chapter 25 of the gospel st. Matt, and there's our Lord and judgment these going down, all these lists of good works and what then the principle on which we're going to be judged of course works have to come.
Speaker 0 00:00:59 They have to be living works, which means for our works to be pleasing to God, we have to be in a state of pay. If we're not in a state of faith, people that are are a state of grace, excuse me. If we're not in a state of grace or somebody that doesn't isn't it's dispositive. So it disposes our will towards receiving grace and all that. But as long as we're in this state of grace, our good works are meritorious. And that's the whole point of this gospel. It's essential to do good works. It's not just a relatively nice idea. It's essential. If we have faith, it's got an issue in good works. We're all members of Christ by virtue of our baptism. We all have an office as members of Christ to bring Christ to the world, women in a particular way, bringing our lady of the world and men bring Christ for us, but that's our job. We're supposed to be. That kind of example, to our neighbor, to the people whom we encountered, not necessarily by what we say, Papa, what we do pray then pretty crease and faith, and that your faith issues, you could worse.
